Philippines' unemployment rate dropped to 3.9% in May - PSA

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s unemployment rate fell to 3.9 percent in May, from 4.1 percent in the preceding month, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Tuesday.

This means there were 2.03 million jobless individuals in May, down from 2.06 million before.

Job quality also improved as the underemployment rate eased to 13.1 percent from 14.6 percent previously./tad
