Nikkei May Firm after U.S. Presidential Election Next Week

   Tokyo, Nov. 1 (Jiji Press)--Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average may firm next week if political uncertainties ease after the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential election, market sources said.
   Still, the stock market may be volatile ahead of the U.S. election. In addition, an official at a major brokerage firm warned, "If the vote counting process is delayed in battleground states or the election result is not announced within the week, it could weigh on Japanese stocks."
