Dollar Rises Up to around 147.80 Yen in Tokyo
Tokyo, Sept. 6 (Jiji Press)--The dollar rose to around 147.80 yen before being talked down by Japan's currency diplomat in Tokyo trading Wednesday.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 147.36-38 yen, up from 146.91-91 yen at the same time Tuesday. The euro was at 1.0728-0728 dollars, down from 1.0756-0756 dollars, and at 158.11-13 yen, up from 158.04-05 yen.
