The People's Committee of Da Nang, the capital city of central Vietnam, has approved a commercial technical infrastructure development and public park project at an estimated cost of nearly VND1.4 trillion (US$53.7 million).

The project comprises a public park north of Phan Dang Luu Street and the construction of technical infrastructure to support commercial and service activities in the Nai Nam area in Hai Chau District.

According to a recently signed decision by chairman Le Trung Chinh, the investment will be sourced from the city's budget.

A substantial portion of the funding, nearly VND1.3 trillion ($50 million), is earmarked for site clearance and compensation.

The rest will cover construction, equipment, project management, and contingency costs.

The project is part of a broader strategy to improve urban infrastructure, enhance public space, and stimulate community interaction, tourism, and economic growth.

For the public park, located north of Phan Dang Luu Street, the plan includes the utilization of existing internal roads, the construction of new parking bays along the western edge, and two new 13.5-meter-wide roads totaling 136 meters in length.

In the Nai Nam area, where Nai Nam Communal House is situated, infrastructure improvements will include upgrading existing roads and building new roads with respective lengths of over 622 meters, nearly 610 meters, and approximately 400 meters.

The project will also feature comprehensive utility installations, including rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, water supply lines, public lighting, green spaces, land grading, and other supporting infrastructure to maximize the investments effectiveness.

Nai Nam Communal House is one of the ancient relics in the city with significant historical and cultural value.

The park and infrastructure project is scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2029.
