A new tourism offering in Hoi An is giving visitors the chance to soar over central Vietnam's UNESCO-listed ancient town aboard a motorized parachute, offering panoramic views of the historic site from the sky.

The 'Fly Over the Heritage' tour, recently launched by Hoi An Memories Land, includes a 15- to 20-minute flight over the Thu Bon River and iconic landmarks in the old town, accompanied by a qualified instructor.

Hoi An Memories Land is a complex of tourism, resorts, and culture located adjacent to Hoi An Ancient Town, located in Quang Nam Province.

Flights are offered at VND2 million (US$77) per person and depart daily from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm starting June 1, subject to weather conditions.

The experience is open to thrill-seekers aged 12-65 and includes insurance, safety equipment, and a video camera to capture the breathtaking scenery.

Paragliders take off from Hoi An Memories Land and follow a scenic route before landing at a designated drop-off area.

To kick off the summer travel season, Hoi An Memories Land will host an opening ceremony on the evening of June 6 featuring a 600-drone light show, a new version of the 60-minute Hoi An Memories Show, a six-minute fireworks display, and a six-minute paragliding-fire fusion show.

Each booking also comes with a complimentary eco-class ticket to the acclaimed Hoi An Memories Show.
