36 Pct in Japan Hopeful of CDP's Noda: Jiji Survey

   Tokyo, Oct. 17 (Jiji Press)--A Jiji Press survey found Thursday that 36 pct of respondents have high hopes for Yoshihiko Noda, the new president of the major opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan,
   According to the survey, conducted over the four days through Monday, 32.9 pct said they have no expectations for the former prime minister, who was elected CDP president late last month.
   A total of 31.1 pct said they have no strong opinions on the matter or do not know.
   The interview survey covered 2,000 people aged 18 or over across the nation. Valid responses came from 58.6 pct.
