Japan Firm to Issue 1st Domestic Stablecoin

   Tokyo, Aug. 18 (Jiji Press)--Japanese fintech company JPYC Inc. said Monday that it has gained the necessary registration to issue the country's first stablecoin, a type of cryptocurrency.
   The firm registered with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau as a funds transfer service provider. It will soon begin selling its stablecoin, also called JPYC, to corporate and individual clients.
