Toyota to Boost EV Lineup in U.S. Market
Plano, Texas, May 24 (Jiji Press)--Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. is boosting its electric vehicle lineup for the U.S. market, betting that EV demand will grow over the medium to long term after the current sluggishness.
"If households with three cars replace one with an EV, and if half of households with two vehicles replace one with an EV, nearly 30 pct of the new vehicle market will be EVs," said Tetsuo Ogawa, president and CEO of Toyota Motor North America Inc.
