Trump Tariffs Overshadow Japanese Firms' Earnings Outlook
Tokyo, May 14 (Jiji Press)--Japanese companies' earnings outlook for the year ending in March 2026 is being clouded by U.S. President Donald Trump's high tariffs and uncertainty surrounding the levies.
Automakers, shipping firms and other companies operating globally are predicting lower profits. Even firms focusing on domestic operations are concerned about slowing global growth.
