Nebuta Festival Lanterns Made Specially for Hyakudan Kaidan Exhibition by 4 Creators in Different Schools under Theme of 'Oeyama Shutendoji,' Depicting Faces of Demon, Warriors, Princess

     Japanese lanterns and lamps, both traditional and contemporary, were exhibited at the Hyakudan Kaidan hall, a tangible cultural asset designated by the Tokyo metropolitan government located at the Meguro Gajoen hotel and wedding complex. Showpieces included Nebuta Festival lanterns from Aomori, kanto long bamboo poles decorated with many paper lanterns from Akita, lamps using minowashi traditional Japanese paper made in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, and gold fish lanterns from Yanai, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
