The Faculty of Communication Arts at Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) organized a hands-on workshop, "AI Music Made Easy," on February 6, 2025. The workshop aimed to equip students with the skills to create music using AI effortlessly, even without prior musical knowledge.

Expert speakers shared their insights and experiences, focusing on the Suno AI program, with a practical workshop for hands-on learning.

The session featured Phongsathorn Thammakhan, a Live Streaming and Sound Specialist, as a guest speaker. He provided in-depth knowledge on using Suno AI to transform imagination into music, demonstrating how AI commands can convert text or phrases into high-quality, professional-style songs.

Additionally, students had the opportunity to experiment with Suno AI firsthand through a workshop, creating their own music from scratch. They learned everything from selecting a music genre and adjusting sound elements to refining their compositions—even those without any prior musical background.

Assistant Professor Harifin Wa-ae-sa, Head of the Creator Lab at the Faculty of Communication Arts, DPU, stated that this workshop was designed to meet students' demand for learning new skills beyond the classroom.

It builds upon the "Personalized Activity" initiative—a new strategic approach by the Faculty of Communication Arts aimed at developing students' skills to match their diverse needs. The program gathers student feedback through surveys in each classroom to design targeted workshops that provide in-depth skill enhancement, ensuring practical application for career growth in their desired fields.

"This initiative is part of the Personalized Activity project, which aims to develop students into Beyond Content Creators while enabling them to generate income from their first year. We collaborate with various partners, including the faculty’s simulated company, to provide real-world working experiences."

Additionally, the Creator Club offers training sessions to enhance new skills, focusing on media creation and the digital industry, aligning with market demands. This workshop marks the first step in introducing students to AI-driven music creation, allowing them to expand their existing projects or monetize their work immediately.

Harifin further explained that the workshop also covered techniques for monetizing music creation using AI, making music production easier, more time-efficient, and significantly reducing costs.

Students can utilize the AI-generated music in various content creation projects for social media platforms, including video production, marketing campaigns, and even advertisements. This opens up opportunities for students to generate income while studying, either by publishing their music or incorporating it into commercial projects.

"In the future, we will continue to offer training sessions to enhance various skills, with three workshops scheduled each month. Upcoming sessions include video editing in CapCut, followed by ad targeting strategies and multimedia content creation, " Harifin said. "Each workshop is carefully structured and interconnected to ensure students gain market-relevant experience and can immediately apply their knowledge upon course completion."
