Seven & i Reports 2.3-Fold Rise in March-May Net Profit

   Tokyo, July 10 (Jiji Press)--Seven & i Holdings Co. on Thursday reported a consolidated net profit of 49.0 billion yen for March-May, up about 2.3-fold from a year before.
   The profit rallied after being pushed down by losses related to the sale of shares in mail-order retail firm Nissen Holdings Co. a year earlier. The bottom line was also boosted by proceeds from the sale of store assets held by its Ito-Yokado Co. general merchandise store unit.
